Description
Introduced in 1962 by Mogens Lassen, the Kubus collection represents his lifelong devotion to the Bauhaus ideal of functionalism, where rationalism trounces the merely ornamental. The collection is also a fine example of his craftsman's appreciation of materials. Here, he uses the copper plated steel to heighten the simplicity and strength of the Kubus collection. A prolific designer and architect, Mogens was as equally adept at creating pieces to include in the buildings as he was designing them, and has left a rich archive still being discovered by design fans today.
