Description
Taking inspiration from upholstery designs of the 1920s, Faudet-Harrison have created a very simple sofa, notable for the use of continuous curves and a straight line sewn lengthways down the middle of the piece. It is made from a European hardwood frame, zig-zag springs, jute webbing, hessian straps and covered with a mix of materials that includes natural fibres, animal hair and wool. The legs are made from oak or aluminium.
The back rises up in a straight line vertically from the bottom of the frame, but it gently curves round at either end of the design. The seat is very deep and has a pleasing line detail stitched into it. Continuous is a sophisticated design that offers a number of possibilities in configuration. It is visually light, well-proportioned and ideal for contract environments.
Also available as a three seat sofa. Made to order in Norfolk, England.
This version of the Continuous sofa is upholstered in Hallingdal with aluminium legs. Also available in a wide range of other fabrics and leathers.
