In 2018 Helle Herman Mortensen, Jonas Herman Pedersen, and Lasse Lund Lauridsen realized a dream: found a design studio with sustainability as the beating heart. As part of their already established legacy, they both ensure the continued use and appreciation of Nordic design traditions and foster a world-wide love of pure materials. Working with the carefully selected wood, textiles, and metals that make up their extensive collection of contemporary home furniture and décor, the Form + Refine team of seven well-established designers carefully distill their award-winning talents into long-lasting, timeless, and truly formed and refined furnishings.
Section Wooden Bowl
Solid European oak is transformed into the silken surface and natural flow of the Section Wooden Bowl. In accordance with the Form + Refine mission, the Section Wooden Bowl allows the pure material to speak for itself, while embracing the small embellishments of carved rings along the outer edge. Finished with a food-safe oil, the Section Wooden Bowl can be used for fruit, snacks, large salads, or décor throughout the home.
A Line Shoe Rack 35
With just two legs, the A Line Shoe Rack 35 defies gravity and showcases the ingenuity of designer Jonas Herman at Herman Studio. Crafted from European oak, the A Line Shoe Rack 35 offers shelves designed specifically for shoes—just two bars, perfectly spaced to support the toe and heel of the shoe. Simple, unobtrusive, and graceful in its own charming, if not asymmetrical way, the A Line Shoe Rack 35 is the perfect addition to small bedrooms, entryways, or walk in closets.

The Form + Refine sustainability commitment is comprised of five key pledges:
