The Ferm Living Rico Lounger Sofa basically takes everything good about classic sofa design and makes it way deeper and more comfortable for how people actually want to relax these days. Since it's made-to-order, you get to pick from all their fabric options - everything from that chunky boucle stuff to the smooth Main Line Flax weaves, plus some really cool patterns like their Louisiana collaboration with that modern art museum. The whole Rico thing is about bringing curves and bigger proportions into furniture that still looks elegant instead of just oversized. This lounger has this seriously generous seat that's deep enough for multiple people to actually stretch out, but it doesn't look like some massive sectional that takes over your whole room. What's really smart about the dimensions is how they managed 105cm deep and 210cm wide without making it feel like furniture for giants. You can actually curl up and read on this thing or have a proper afternoon nap, which most sofas just aren't built for. The height works out to 75cm overall with the seat at 36cm, so it's low enough to feel cozy but not so low that getting up becomes this whole production. The way they built it with molded foam and steel in the back plus wooden structure under the seat means it's going to hold up to real use. Instead of having legs, the whole thing goes down to the floor with this curved shape that kind of hugs you when you sit down. The backrest flows right into the armrests so there's no weird seams or breaks in the design. Ferm Living does that Danish thing where they think about how furniture actually fits into people's lives instead of just making stuff that looks good in showrooms.
