Details
Carl Pott got the idea for this design while sitting under a chestnut tree and watching a leaf fall. The organic shape became the inspiration for the spoon and the other flatware pieces were derived from it. The double edge knife has a serrated backside, ideal for carving into a piece of meat, while the other side is perfect for actual slicing. As the flatware of the 1972 Munich Olympics, the design became world famous.

Some designs are too good to change. It’s why only 19 different series of Potts flatware have been designed between 1935 and 2003, all of which were designed by or commissioned by founder Carl Pott. Pott flatware is available in 18/10 stainless steel and 925 sterling silver, and the silver is only produced once per year. Since its inception every flatware series has every serving need, from a four-piece place setting to butter and cheese knives, soup and serving spoons to dessert flatware, all the individual parts have the characteristic design features of their model.
