Drawing inspiration from Christiaan Huygens, known as the father of timekeeping because of his discovery of the pendulum as a timekeeping device, Huygens Amsterdam crafts silent, superbly accurate clocks. By using a quartz movement as the inner working of each timepiece Huygens has shown a mastery of clock design extending far beyond the outer framework.
