Designed in 1956 by Mathieu Matégot, the Mategot Coat Rack is an exemplar of his playful approach to turning everyday items into pieces of art. Sculpturally inspired, the Mategot Coat Rack features a bold, brass center and three spoke-like arms finished with colorful caps to keep items from sliding off. The Mategot Coat Rack is nice and compact, but certainly doesn’t disappear into background, making it a wonderfully decorative piece for hallways, bathrooms, bedrooms, or offices.
