Man Ray
Man Ray was an artist and photographer who worked to promote the Dada movement alongside his close friend Marcel Duchamp. After the death of his lifelong friend Duchamp, Man Ray designed a chess set in his honor and former opponent. Though the original set is housed at the Museum of Modern Art, you can find a reproduction here at Horne based on the iconic original set which is made using geometric forms instead of traditional chess pieces. Man Ray worked in the avant-garde movement and influenced some of the most iconic modern artists of our time.
