Details
The Journal Organiser is a compact oak piece designed to serve as a side table, magazine holder, bedside table, or small coffee table. Made from FSC®-certified solid European oak, it combines a useful surface with an integrated gap for storing journals, magazines, and newspapers. Designed by Herman Studio, the piece grew out of an investigation into how thin panels can create a strong and visually light construction. The contrast between the sharp leg profiles and the rounded tabletop edges gives the organiser a clean, deliberate appearance while keeping the storage function easy to access. The Journal Organiser arrives pre-assembled and is carefully dimensioned for flexible use in living rooms, bedrooms, reading corners, and home offices. Its natural oak finish and compact scale make it especially helpful where storage, surface area, and visual clarity need to work together.

Brand
Form + Refine
Form & Refine was founded in 2018 by Helle Herman Mortensen, Jonas Herman Pedersen and Lasse Lund Lauridsen– based on the common vision of creating a value-driven design brand that explores materials and preserves our earth and craft cultures through an exceptional design philosophy. They also believe in making a positive social impact and preserving crafts by working with cooperatives and smaller workshops to create fair and respectful partnerships. Among others, they support a cooperative of alpaca farmers in the highlands of Bolivia through the art of weaving and ancient wisdom.
