The Iota Sconce is a compact study in material and form, combining a hand-thrown ceramic body with a softly diffused glass globe. Its pill-shaped silhouette introduces a subtle geometric presence, while the scale makes it especially effective in smaller spaces where proportion matters.

Designed and produced in Misewell’s Milwaukee studio, each piece is individually crafted, resulting in slight variations in glaze and texture that give the fixture its character. The ceramic base is paired with an opal glass shade that diffuses light evenly, creating a warm, ambient glow suited for bedrooms, hallways, and living spaces.

Minimal in footprint but considered in execution, the Iota Sconce works equally well as a single accent or installed in a series. It’s a versatile solution for adding color, material contrast, and soft lighting without overwhelming the surrounding architecture.

Design & Application

The Iota Sconce is particularly effective in spaces where scale is limited but lighting still needs to feel intentional. Its compact size allows it to function as bedside lighting, hallway illumination, or as a subtle accent in layered lighting schemes.
