Details
One of Hans J. Wegner’s earliest masterpieces for Carl Hansen & Søn, the CH22 Lounge Chair pairs an expressive wooden frame with a low, relaxed profile. Carved arm supports flow into the frame, while the exposed joinery and concave backrest turn construction into a defining part of the chair’s beauty. A hand-woven black paper cord seat gives the classic form a graphic, contemporary contrast while retaining its supportive comfort. Every curve and connection rewards a closer look, making the CH22 as compelling as a sculptural object as it is inviting as a place to sit.
