The Castore Dining Table by Karakter brings Angelo Mangiarotti’s sculptural understanding of stone and glass into a refined dining table format. Designed in 1975, Castore pairs a substantial marble pillar with a round tempered glass top, creating a composition that feels architectural, balanced, and visually light despite the weight of its materials. Mangiarotti believed that each material should be respected and used honestly, and Castore expresses that philosophy with unusual clarity. The glass top rests on a heavy marble base, while a removable marble bowl above the glass gives the impression that the tabletop is held in place by a single sculptural element. Rounded edges on both the pillar and bowl soften the strength of the marble and create a subtle reflection through the glass surface. Available with Bianco Carrara, Nero Marquina, or Pietra Grey marble and clear or smoked glass, the Castore Dining Table is well suited for dining rooms, open-plan living spaces, executive interiors, and hospitality environments.
