Brown Furniture

Brown furniture feels like a very general concept—and it is! Which makes this trend all the easier to incorporate into your home, and even easier to find amongst the pieces you already own.

Natural Wood

To start, we highly recommend letting the natural wood around your home take center stage. Don’t completely hide your natural wood floors, simply decorate them with a carefully chosen area rug. Additionally, you can easily bring wood furnishings like the Alden Credenza or the April Tables into living spaces.

Leather

But another way to incorporate the brown furniture trend is to utilize leather upholstery. Pieces like the Seal Lounge Chair or the Pot™ Chair bring luxurious brown leather upholstery into sitting areas, while the Adnet Mirror and Parallel Table Lamp introduce brown leather into the décor and lighting side of the room design.

Velvet

Velvet is a key ingredient when achieving chic and elegant spaces and adding variance in texture. Often available in deep, rich, gem tones, and very often an upholstery option for sofas and lounge chairs, velvet creates a sumptuous feel and more refined look. When bringing this fabric into living spaces, it’s best to look for sofas, benches, poufs, and pillows.

Benches and Poufs

One of our favorite velvety pieces is the Nakki Long Ottoman. This minimalist bench from Woud has gentle curves and thick, soft cushion, making it the perfect versatile seating solution. Another fantastic option would be the Pouf Oval in Faded Velvet. This darling stool with its stacked form, added cozy comfort.

Sofas

One of the best ways to go big with velvet is to craft your living room space around the Stay Sofa. This gorgeous, gently curved, deep-cushioned sofa is available in a beautiful green velvet that makes it the perfect living room centerpiece. And to add just a dash of velvety comfort to any space, a throw pillow is the way to go. The Senti Stripe Cushion is a wonderful way to gently incorporate velvet if you want this texture to be more of an accent.

Art Deco

It is, after all, the ‘20s again, so what’s more fitting than resurrecting Art Deco? We love this style and how it was the perfect steppingstone to the Mid-Century design discipline. Many of our pieces have Art Deco inspirations so you can easily introduce elements of this era into any design style.

Some of our favorites include the 9602 Floor Lamp, The Peacock Lounge, the Be My Guest Bar Cabinet, and the Aldora Chaise Lounge.
