4 Design House Stockholm Combinations We Love
It’s hard not to love a modern design brand like Design House Stockholm. Self-proclaimed publishers of design, Design House Stockholm works with a variety of designers to bring their work to life and share it with the world. As a result, their collection of home furniture and accessories is eclectic and exciting; you never know what you’re going to get. Working with the unexpected does not mean that Design House Stockholm furniture isn’t functional. Rather, HORNE is proud to carry select items that are as beautiful and unusual as they are functional in the modern home. To help you all fall in love with them too, we’ve paired up some of our favorite Design House Stockholm items.
The Art of Pairing Furniture & Accessories
It really is an art, too. Matching furniture with its accessories does not come easily to everyone, but with a little help and some practice, you can strike that perfect chord and balance your modern home design perfectly. Start with the larger items: how do they fit in the space? Are they large, petite, a little oddly shaped? Figure out their form and the flow they create and then fill in the gaps.
For example, larger furniture goes well with more subtle side accessories. A slouchy sectional is best complemented by a series of small side tables or a low, more sleek and minimalist coffee table. While more petite and slim furniture with clean straight lines will welcome some unusual shapes next to it to offer some depth and movement.

4 Design House Stockholm Combinations We Love
The versatility of the Design House Stockholm collection means most pieces pair really well with a variety of other furnishings. However, these are some of our favorites from within the collection itself (and one outside of it).
Lasso Mirror Tall + Air Sideboard Low

The first thing we have to say is lines! So many lines between the Lasso Mirror and the Air Sideboard, but that’s what makes them a great pair. The sleek mirror with its clean lines and shiny surface looks sharp next to the dark stained birch and cane front panels. Both a contrast and a complement are found when pairing these pieces. Plus, the doors of the sideboard with its series of squares and rectangles maintains that straight-line theme with the strictly rectangular mirror.
Arco Small Table + Torso Dining Chair

Every chair needs its companion. Whether that’s a dining chair with a dining table or the Torso Dining Chair with the small Arco Side Table. A great option to pair with any lounge chair, the Arco Small Table is a beautifully simple trestle table that slips in beside the Torso Dining Chair without any complaint. The duo creates great extra seating in living rooms or even a place to sit and take your shoes off in the entryway after a long day.
Block Lamp + Frame Small

There’s nothing like reimagining the table lamp and then pairing it with a simplified, framework shelf. The open shelving concept of the Frame series opens the possibilities for styling wide, but the shelves themselves are airy and light. So contrast that with the solid weight of the Block Lamp and you have a wonderful balance of opposites—that also provides great light and a place for your drink!
Bruunmunch Pump Chaise Lounge + Design House Stockholm Pedestal Table

This combo is our outlier. The Pump Chaise Lounge sofa is not a Design House Stockholm design, but it works so well with the Pedestal Table that we had to make it a part of this list! The Pedestal Table is charmingly small with delightful carving details and made form solid oak, making a dependable little table. Oh, and it adjusts! Remove one of its pedestal pieces to adjust the size as needed. Next to the Bruunmunch Pump Chaise Lounge sofa it contrasts the more modest figure of the sofa and creates visual interest. Bonus if you group three Pedestal Tables, each at a different height, with your seating arrangement.
