Donna Wilson is well known for her oddly shaped and outlandish creatures, yet in the Hue Armchair she contains the urge for shape-shifting and has plumped for a rather sophisticated simplicity instead.
Inspired by series of colored boxes, the Hue Armchair uses three different shades of color on each face of the piece, adding emphasis to the outline of the form. The frame is made from hardwood with multi-density foam and lacquered beech turned legs. Hue is adorned with a button on the seat and back, and a single stitch cross detail on the back. The seat itself is very long at nearly two meters and the arms are solid, ideal for using a laptop. Hue comes in four different colorways and a removable arm tray made from stock leather is also available. Donna Wilson’s design is bold, comfortable and reassuringly familiar.
