ARTLESS Focal Tables push the 90-degree angle we love so much to new extremes. This asymmetric wood and glass coffee table has the extraordinary quality of being simple in its lines but fairly complex in its looks.
Our focal tables were developed as a counter argument to the block like solidity of our SQG coffee tables. The latter ones are grounded and rigid while the Focals have movement and seem on the verge of taking off.
For some designers, a love of architecture is learned at school or within the shadow of an eye-opening structure. But for designer Alejandro Artigas, it courses through his blood. Born in Mexico City to a family of architects, it’s no wonder he began his career at the prestigious Architectural Association in London, before graduating with a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from The Southern California Institute of Architecture, SCI-Arc, in Los Angeles. He also holds a Masters degree in Advanced Architectural Design from The Graduate School of Architecture Planning and Preservation at Columbia University, GSAPP. He is now based in Los Angeles as a lead designer and founder at ARTLESS Corporation, an architecture and design practice.
