Although most widely known for his timeless and dapper designs for men’s fashion, Paul Smith is much more than a menswear designer. In 1970 the once unknown designer opened his first shop Vêtement Pour Homme in Nottingham where he sold his own designs alongside other more well-known labels. It wasn’t until 1976 that he debuted his first collection in Paris and the rest, as they say, it history. He continues to operate his own brick-and-mortar stores all over the world and his designs have also moved into women’s wear, kids clothing and home design and furnishings. His collaboration with Sir Kenneth Grange and Anglepoise was his own interpretation of the Anglepoise Type 75™ range, available in colorful hues and in three distinct sizes. He continues to lend his talent amongst other historic collaborations including adding his iconic stripes to everything from New Balance sneakers to the Porsche 911.
