This pendant is a study in materials and process. The aluminum shade of this pendant is formed over a wooden mold that has been sandblasted to raise the wood grain. During the metal spinning process the patterns of this wood grain are impressed on the finished part. The shade is then suspended on a flared Bare Light socket. The Bare Pendant is designed to work perfectly with a half chrome G25 bulb, which reflects light up to illuminate the glass socket and accentuate the wood grain embedded in the metal shade.
