Whimsical, engaging, beautiful and thought provoking: all words we would use to describe both the artist and her work. Clare Goddard hails from Helsinki, Finland and produces precious pieces of art using found ephemera and used tea bags. This collage was made using bits of pink paper, cardboard numbers, pieces of a map and a drawing of a “bear”. The image of the “bear” is what ultimately drew us to this piece. Clare told us that every so often, her friend would bring her scraps of paper that were found in the glass tables of a museum’s café.
