What would happen if one of the world's hottest contemporary designers took a new look at design classics from the 1960s? That is what Stelton wondered when considering how to celebrate the company's 50th anniversary.
In this series, Paul Smith moves closer to his own design territory. Playfully combining colors as if conceiving a new fashion collection, he struts industrial design down the catwalk of his imagination. Products include a range of bowls with and without lids, which are as decorative as they are functional.
With their brushed stainless steel exteriors, Paul Smith's Dot bowls are suitable for almost any job around the house. They are decorative as they are, but can also hold paper clips on the desk, cotton puffs in the bathroom, teabags in the kitchen, or snacks in the lounge. Add lids, and the bowls take on a whole new range of functions.
The colour is an enamel-like surfacing, which gives the colours depth, but it isn't fragile like old fashion enamel.
