Description

Dynamic with a delicate, sculptural twist, the Three-Arm Rotating Ceiling Lamp from Serge Mouille captures a spirit of whimsy in an elegant ceiling lamp. This nimble lamp features three jointed arms capped with rotating lights, creating a versatile light feature that suits any modern room. Move the arms, pivot the lampshades and point the light where it’s needed most --- whether you’re highlighting art, focusing on a project, providing a reading lamp, or lighting a whole room.

Incorporating natural elements, Serge Mouille’s inspired designs take us into nature and translate the natural world into lighting masterpieces. Finding his passion in the light fixture world in 1953, Serge Mouille created iconic, sculptural pieces that have been gracing homes, businesses, and museum galleries ever since.

Serge Mouille

Serge Mouille (FRANCE 1922-1988) is most famous for his modern lighting fixtures characterized by matte black parts with beautiful brass connectors.  Serge Mouille's lighting fixtures are coveted amongst the modern interior mindset and have been revered for their sophisticated yet minimal design.  Today Serge Mouille's designs are still produced in a factory in France using Serge's original designs and tooling and each piece is made to Serge's exact specifications.

Serge Mouille originally studied silversmithing and metallurgy at the School of Applied Arts in Paris after being admitted at the age of 13.  He had great success as a silversmith and began teaching by the age of 25.  It was not until he was 31 that Serge Mouille introduced his first lighting fixture.  His lamps were inspired by insect-like minimalism and were an intentional departure from the more complicated lamps of his time.  Mouille's fixtures were first shown in a gallery in 1956 along designs by Charlotte Perriand, Isamu Noguchi and Jean Prouvé.  His lighting fixtures are a blend of function and art that many have come to appreciate throughout the years.
