H55 Black Apron
Architect Elissa Aalto was working as an assistant in her husband Alvar Aalto’s office in 1955, when he was invited to design the Finnish housing section of the Hälsingborg Exhibition in Sweden. Entitled H55, the exhibition featured important names from architecture and design from several countries. In his contribution, Aalto used elements from a housing project he had created for Tiergarten in Berlin. One detail featured in the apartment was the Elissa Aalto‐designed H55 fabric.
Apron features a front pocket.
