The Asado Steak Knife - Set of 4

Asado, meaning barbeque, holds a special place here in Argentina.  It’s not only a meal, it is a production.  Originating from the gauchos (cowboys), asado became the term used when they all met around a fire and barbecued the beef.  It was a highly social activity and today it is still treated as such.  Families gather on Sunday at their country homes, build a fire and make an asado, resulting in a long afternoon of conversation, laughter and food!  Our Asado knife is casual and great for the outdoor barbeque. The handles are made of guayubira wood – a complex wood native to Argentina and Uruguay.

Includes 4 knives in a customs wooden case that is hand-made by carpentry artists in the Patagonia using wood from the fallen trees in the forests
